Gorey Tennis Club is a very Social Club

Some of regular social tennis events are:

Ladies Morning — Wednesday Mornings

Wednesday mornings from 10.00 – 12.00. This is very social morning, ideal if you are looking to get your eye back in or have a game of ladies doubles followed by tea/ coffee in the clubhouse. All members are welcome and new members can come down.

Men’s tennis

Another weekly event is Men’s Tennis, Sundays at 10am

American Tounament — Thursday evenings 8pm

The Thursday Night ‘American Tournament’ takes place EVERY thursday at 8pm in the club courts and all members are very welcome to attend. It is played as an open draw and you must be down to enter your name before 8pm each night.

The tournament is played as mixed doubles and the specific number of games in single sets are decided each night depending on the numbers attending. Typically it is played as a best of 7 games with each team playing in the league, and the team with the maximum games takes the first prize!

Social Nights

We also have regular social tennis nights often followed by food, music and/or BBQ, 

e.g Anne Roice, Wimbledon, Christmas, Halloween etc

and we also have two leagues where teams of up to 8 compete against each other, during September and February
